Well, seems the latest update has dropped my FPS down to about 2. Was a bit of a rocky start with the massive lag spikes every couple minutes when the waves dropped, but it was tolerable. Possibly a side effect of using a mountain of javascript to run a multi-window desktop game?

The concept is pretty good, the lighting is horrid, seeing the black materials on a black ground is absolutely stellar, and trying to idle for more than a few minutes results in waves that absolutely overwhelm. If you're not constantly running back and forth trying to destroy hives, you're goanna get trashed. Once the ninja turtles show up and KO your player 3-5 times before you can take out one as more spawn in and camp your respawn area, you're kinda done.

Meh, it was a good idea, but the starfield level performance issues, achingly slow resource accumulation, and OP mid-game enemies are just absolute turnoffs. I'll give it a few months and come back.

UPDATE: Tried dropping the resolution from 4k to 1080, no luck. It seems whatever performance issue there is post mid-game will just persist despite the updates. Uninstalling and moving on.

UPDATE (2023-12-13): Seems the FPS tanks after building the defender factory.

100 Hours In and I've finally finished all of what's available. This game is great! There's always something to do, the factory must grow. It's early access, so there's a bunch of unfinished stuff, but the potential here is insane! The developer is super cool and is working like crazy on Desynced.

Years in and this monster is still a buggy mess.

Update per developer request:
- I don't like random crashes every 20-30 minutes.

Beautiful and charming game definitely worth the time. :D

This feel more like a prototype than an actual game you'd sit down and play.

Dead game, incomplete and buggy. Looks like it was taken off the store, so at least there's that going for it.

Best damn game since Rimworld! Can't wait to see the final release.

The first title in a multi-part series, it is based on the story from the original game, up to the escape from Midgar, adding in new elements.

Good thing that's after the break. 20+ years later we get a disk 1 remake for 70 bones. Granted, it's AMAZING quality, but when the majority of the game is just non-existent, fml.

This is an absolute gem of a game. I can see quite a long future for Necesse should the developer continue to stick with it and add more content, biomes, npcs, etc.

Meh, 6 hours in and stuck multiple times. For something that's not in early access, this has an insane number of bugs and glitches. If you have to put an "unstuck" button in the menu, something's definitely wrong. Don't bother with this one.
