I love playing this game. I have enjoyed all my time in it. I cannot recommend it. It is an unfinished game already pumped with microtransactions and scummy practices. Wait for it to either get better, show it's true colors, or go on a 90% sale in a few months.

The game has gotten much better, the inclusion of a talent tree is so good and I am enjoying it so much. Review will not change. This game is not one I will recommend buying unless it is MUCH cheaper or they put forth a lot more care, which knowing FatShark? Won't happen.

As silly as it sounds (trust me I realize it) This is THE best survival game I have played. It's got solid combat, persistent hunger/thirst meters that DON'T degrade absurdly quickly, tons of options when it comes to armor or weapons be that cosmetic or functionally. The building feels as snappy and clean as it should which leaves me excited to build and expand. Resource management can be a bit frustrating for larger builds and combat is unforgiving at times but it honestly adds to the charm. Other survival games put you in a situation where you aren't the top dog anymore but this old school concepts lends itself PERFECTLY to that same survival trope. I have yet to begin to mention the amazing voice acting for the 4 teen PCs or the few NPCs and the sound design for the insects/arachnids is just superb and leaves me cooing at ants and running for my life from fireflies; a subversion of expectations, to be sure. What started as seemingly another perpetual "Early Access" survival game has truly come into it's own due to the development teams hard work and dedication to their vision has delivered an outstanding game.

TL;DR Amazing voice acting, art direction, and gameplay balance. Worth the price of admission!
