One of the greatest games I've played, been going at it since 2007.

I'm not sure how much staying power the game has, but as an in-the-moment sort of the game, it's very fun. There are still a few bugs present, but if you wait even longer than I did, and the developer continues to refine their game, it wouldn't be unwise to purchase it for even full price or on sale.

As for the game itself, think Far Cry gameplay filtered through Call of Duty and Metro, visually stark and atmospheric but tonally fatuous like an action movie. Can't say I approve of the overt jingoism either, as it turns to inanity a few times. Guess it's an American thing, like that guy running for governer, firing a minigun in his campaign ad.

I want to like this game a lot because it does some things really well, but the movement is absolutely atrocious. Running also enables climbing so if you board a ship and want to move around fast, you might also start climbing boxes and get stuck for a splitsecond until you jump off. Navigating streets and rooftops pose the same problem, if you get too close to something, you get latched onto it. If running and climbing were bound to different keys, I'd play this game way more than I have, but as it stands, it's insufferably unplayable.

The best Saints Row game since the second one. The first SR was a buggy, unplayable mess, while the third was stuck in an identity crisis between being merely over the top (like SR2) and full on fecal-snorting, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ crazy like its follower.

I've been demoing this game on and off since the previous winter sale, never knowing what exactly to make of it until it clicked with me. I don't why or how but suddenly what had felt like a cold, stale, and calculated experience opened up as a lush, off-stoic adventure telling its lore with abstract mysticism, gradually becoming more intelligible; colouring the world in a unique, imaginative way. As a game, Bastion plays solidly, and as an idea, Bastion is a marvel to have unfold before your eyes. Go get it!

Early Access Review
I originally thought "Guardians of Orion" as it was first called, was a nifty idea. A sci-fi top-down, multiplayer, horde mode shooter - if they added some more characters, differing armor/colour schemes, more maps, team death match, it could be something cool. But then came the third person view, and suddenly the floodgates opened for this weird lobby thing, incomprehensible item-crafting, dumb hats, and you name it.

I think a lot of what I said comes from how ambitious the devs are. They don't want to do what I had hoped for, which is strange since that's what it looked like it would've ended up as if not for all the people complaining that it was "merely" a top-down shooter. So now we're getting mechs, an open world, first person point of view, and all kinds of stuff in addition to the poorly done and meaningless additions I already mentioned. Trek is shoving so much stuff into the game in order to please as many as possible, that it drags the whole experience down into a mish-mash of half-baked ideas overcrowding what little good there is. "The Orion Project" is hardly anything alike what I had hoped it would become... So for me, this is my lesson in early access.

Also, animation quality is really bad.

Also, had I been aware of Trek's reputation I would've never bought this game to begin with, but thinking like that is hardly helpful, so being vigilant in the future and not an idiot is all one can do.

Too realistic, no dual wielding shotguns.

A cool beat 'em up with nifty graphics and, as has been said already, captures that saturday morning cartoon feel. Two things bother me, though. The least annoying is the lack of voice acting. The most annoying is the music which is the kind of music ecstasy users stutter to at raves. Despite that Zheros is a lot of fun.

The fundamental problem with the Creation Club is that it offers content that is vastly anemic when compared to mods on the Nexus, which in turn makes the Creation Club inferior in every conceivable way and a very unattractive alternative. And to top it off, people are asked to pay for this content.

Something didn't feel right as I started up the game, then Sam Fisher spoke. The gruff, long serving veteran of black operations had become a dandyfied momma's boy. I pressed on, then I saw Kobin; a character who previously looked like a bad guy but now had big blue eyes, an athletic build... basically, a fan art version of the character.

...

No.
