I think this game is finally at a point where I can recommend it to other people (as long as it's on sale cause that price tag is a bit insane, not to mention all the DLCs). I had fun with it on launch but had performance issues just like everyone else, but definitely not nearly as bad as many other people since I have a fairly good pc. I loved all of the title updates although I did stop playing actively after title update 2 so I haven't played a whole lot since then, mainly just checking out the new monsters that drop with each new title update. I appreciate that CAPCOM appeared to listen to player feedback (even if it wasn't as much as some people hoped), and that they continued to optimize the game. The most recent patch has helped the stability a lot, at least on my end, so while I think I can say that if someone asked me if they should get this game I would say yes, but to probably wait until a sale.

Very good. I already enjoyed the first one and covered a majority of the content in the game. This game just feels like a continuation of the story but with much more polished mechanics and content, especially when it comes to tutorials. They are so much more concise than in the first one, although the tutorial on ripostes is a bit misleading in one part.
The tutorial at the beginning of the game tell you that you should immediately do a riposte after executing a perfect block, but that is not the case, as immediately attacking will just lead to the enemy blocking that attack and then attacking with a riposte of their own. It is a much better option to not take the riposte and instead wait for openings or the like and attack then. This will give you a much better chance of actually hitting the enemy as a riposte attack is seemingly much easier to block and counterattack than an ordinary swing.
Tangent on the riposte tutorial aside, the game is very good. You can tell how much time and care have been put into making the world feel alive and like it exists outside of the player's interactions with it. Open world aside, the main story itself is also really good (even though I haven't finished the game yet as of the writing of this review). It gives you so many opportunities do explore and try content other than the main story, but doesn't punish you if you only want to follow the main quests (which I think would be a mistake because of how good some of the side quests). On the topic of quests, quests not attached to the main story are also very good, and are definitely worth your time. I won't go into too many specifics as too avoid spoiling these cool side stories, but one of the more memorable side quests at the time of writing turned the game into a small survival horror section. I thought it was very well executed and instilled the proper amount of powerless I think is necessary for it to work. It wasn't really all that scary at all (thankfully, I don't play horror games for a reason) but it was still very memorable because of how different the pace of the quest was, not to mention it had its own cutscene that played near the beginning of the quest.
TL;DR the game improves on the first game in basically every way, and tutorials are much more clear on how to do what you are expected to do. If you think you would enjoy a medieval open world game with a bit of a learning curve, get the game. Highly recommend giving this one a try.
