I can tell you right now I'll remember this game for the rest of my life along with games like Alien Isolation, Amnesia, Outlast or Resident Evil.

The game has a very VERY dense and depressing atmosphere, which is enhanced by the ambient soundtrack and creepy omnipresent sounds that follow you everywhere. Part of the atmosphere building is also due to the old GoldSrc engine that the game runs on, which itself creates a creepy vibe even in non-horror games. I like the different places where the game takes place like abandoned apartments, dirty sewers, subway tunnels, parks and dark city alleys. You constantly get the feeling that someone is watching you. This game has one of the scariest environments I've seen in games.

The game has a very scary and messed up design of monsters that are gradually introduced, with each one looking different and more terrifying than the last. Gameplay-wise, yes, the game is a bit more simplistic and outdated, but it makes up for it with a thrilling story and the aforementioned atmosphere.

If you hate cheesy jumpscares and generic Unity horror games, you should play this.

The game ran prefectly even on a new system with windows 11, brand new CPU and five years old GPU.
