This is how you remake a horror classic by expanding the lore, improving the gameplay without losing the core identity of the original. I hope Motive makes a Dead Space 2 remake next. The only issue it has is the occasional stutter (even with my 4070Ti + i5 13600k + NVME SSD) but it's barely noticeable.

Achievements: rather easy, even Impossible mode isn't difficult as long as you are careful (especially environmental hazards) by only using the Plasma Cutter, improving your suit and managing your resources.

A Perfect balance of combat, difficulty, exploration, Japanese mythology and story. Patience and determination are keys to succeed in defeating the more challenging bosses (Owl (Father) and Isshin gave me a good beating) but the satisfaction you get when defeating them the first time is such a delight. The parrying mechanic alone sells this game.

Achievements: took me 75h of playtime for 100% but doable, slightly grindy towards leveling up in order to acquire all skills. I recommend doing 4 playthroughs to get the 4 different endings and then reach end game and grind at the Ashina Outskirts Wall - Stairway (if you choose to betray Owl)

Single-player: Masterpiece (I still think RDR1 is better)
Online: an enjoyable mess ruined by hackers and lack of Rockstar support

With the current state of Rockstar, this is Rockstar's last masterpiece !

UPDATE 19 October 2021: I give it a positive recommendation back since they resolved some issues but servers still need more improvements.

The only online game in which I trully want to spend more time improving on.
Coming from the same universe as Titanfall with fast pace movement and a roster of unique Legends stands out from the other Battle Royale games.
It can be fun, rewarding and also frustrating at times. It's a great game, especially with the added Arenas mode but it could become even better if it wasn't for constant server issues. It still needs some tweaks and improvements in order to maintain it's crown as the top tier Battle Royale.

Pros:
+ Apex/Titanfall lore
+ Charismatic legends (they're all fun to play with unique abilities and voice lines)
+ Movement shooting mechanics
+ Change in meta every season to spice and freshen things up

Improvement I wish to see in the future:
-Stable servers
-Better matchmaking
-Co-op (like in Team Fortress 2)
-Bots (to fill missing slots)
-More events
-Cheaper skins and cosmetics

10 years old and still a nostalgic and timeless game, almost as good as Bad Company 2. Played it since day one and still play it today despite living in Vietnam (Asian servers are rare and ping is high).

However, on Steam, it's buggy and a way for me to solve the loading black screen is to do a clean Origin reinstall and also BF3 if you have it installed there. Then, it is crucial you turn off the EA App in-game overlay. This what made unable to launch for me. Hope this helps for those having issues.

Once you get pass the technical issues (black screen when starting up and not loading properly), there's a hidden gem to be enjoyed here. I'm not a big fan of racing game because I feel they get very repetitive very quickly for me. However, for this one, it got me hooked big time without too much repetition in it's gameplay. The more I played the more I felt addicted by all the variety of content it has to offer (race, road rules, road rage, stunt events, showtime challenges and more).

Just like Blade Runner 2049, it flopped in sales and didn't have the full recognition it trully deserved when it first launched. I was aware of it's praise and cult following, it looked polished and well made but never really peaked my interest until I saw many video analysis on the game and how underrated it was. Since it released on Steam, I decided to give it a chance and after playing it for almost 100 hours now, I can confidently admit that I regret not playing it sooner.

I found the single player to be pretty generic, even with some few good moments. It's better than most military shooter campaigns and introduces you to the mechanics of the game but it's nothing exceptional.

The multiplayer however is where it trully shines. It's addicting, balanced and reminded me of the good old days playing MW2. In terms of visuals, they are good enough to be admired and it uses a modified version of the Source Engine, which makes it silky smooth without any framerate issues. The coop is also great with an emphasis on "tower defense"

One massive issue is the lack of dedicated servers, the matchmaking system is a chore where you wait for minutes just to find a match.

Overall, I can't recommend this game enough if you enjoy movement shooters. A deeply satisfying FPS published by a scummy company which makes it even more surprising.

I was skeptical at first but after playing it for a few hours, I soon realized I was dead wrong and how criminally underrated Hitman 2 is. A surprisingly good and fun game with refreshing locations and tons of replayability. It runs silky smooth on an RTX 2060 (average of 90 fps).

The devs not only managed to make an addicting and engaging sandbox but also made a humongous amount of challenges and none of them feel tedious or boring.
Easily one of the best games of the decade. Looking forward for Hitman 3.
