Best drifting simulator out there!

Edit*

I've been drifting IRL for 2 years now. I don't get out there much so i use Assetto during the down time. I'm able to confidently hop in the car and huck it between drift days and not feel rusty thanks to this simulator. Amazing modding community.

Its just a bloody good game! The story incorporates Norse mythology which is really interesting. The realms and areas to explore have small puzzles to solve. Combat just gets juicier the stronger you get not to mention its really engaging. Whilst travelling you are always entertained with stories from the all knowing Mimir just as he did to Odin in the actual mythology. Combat, story, graphics, & audio are all superb. Playing on the second hardest difficulty was definitely a challenge.
Playing on a 6800XT + 5900x at 2K Ultra settings i had 100fps, it would occasionally randomly drop to 60, but no other issues other than that.

Its Forza, it's beautiful, and i can't wait to sink many more hours into it however there are three disappointing issues that need addressing!

1.) They put so much effort into the car sounds yet the actual audio with the camera behind the car is too quiet!!! Lets be honest, the car sounds are what makes this game so why can i barely my car! Fortunately the work around i use for this is have the car sounds turned right up and lower everything else, then turn my physical speakers right up to listen to my RB symphony.

2.) In online mode there is virtually NO ai traffic! This makes the world feel very dull and empty, Switching to offline mode helps with this but it would be sick to play online and with traffic.

3.) Load times, crashes, and bugs. When my games running, its beautiful, everything maxed out on 1440p with 100+ fps on my rig but these load times are horrendous even on my SSD! Lag/crashes in the menus is quite painful.

Hopefully these issues are addressed and once they are i'll happily be giving this a thumbs up!

Really enjoying this so far, feels like Halo, its fun, its free. Can't blame them for adopting the battle pass business model, everyone's doing it these days but at least we don't have to buy a battle pass on top of the game like COD.

Would like to see a bit more optimisation, i'm running a 5900x + 6800XT 1440p Ultra settings and pushing an unstable 80-120 fps. Some more oceanic servers, i find myself getting into a few american lobbys even though im from New Zealand the ping is 160ms-200ms which is still playable but not ideal. And not getting XP for playing matches and getting kills/scoring points is ridiculous, you only get XP for completing challenges, this needs to change ASAP.

Edit: Constantly getting into american lobbys with high ping seriously where are the oceanic servers !!!!!!

Might be a bit late to the party but i got this on sale for $10 and it was the best $10 ever spent! Game looks and sounds absolutely beautiful! Gun play feels good! Has the battlefield feel and immersion that we're all after. I crashed a lot running it in DX12 so i would stick to DX11, would like to see some more game modes aside from conquest even though conquest is really fun! And a better anti-cheat engine. With BF2042 looking like an absolute buggy F****ing mess looks like i'll save myself another $110 and keep playing this!

What Bend Studio has created here is a masterpiece. There's plenty of open world RPG's out these days but Days Gone has captured perfectly a thrilling and exciting open world survival zombie apocalypse experience. The game starts off slow but things really get sweet once you get geared up and start mowing down hordes of zombies. The story was engaging and i was surprised to find myself invested in the characters stories.

The world is large and stunning, i enjoyed riding around on my bike exploring areas, checking out camps and walking around the inside of houses. No two houses felt the same. The bike controls feel fluid and drifting around pointlessly is all i did sometimes.

The only cons i have is that sometimes interacting with NPC's and objects felt clunky and sometimes audio dialogue from the radio would overlap other audio but other than that i can't fault this game on anything else. With these nuances being rather minor in the grand scheme of things.

If you like TWD, if you like Bikes or SOA, if you like open world games then this is definitely for you.
