Get dumped into untelegraphed missions with a random selection of knights (some who are just trash crusing along since the start) when the normal mission design lets you choose your roster. loose 150 ingame days (~10 hours worth of playtime.
And this is just the worst example of this. This game lacks proper quality of life features (no way to compare new with owned gear when aquiring it, unclear results from story events (chaptermaster, warpstorm, enemy ships, etc.) that also features the send 1 or more knight(s) away option. by the way which ones is random but the game cannot be bothered to tell you this little fact.

Only ever buy this if these issues have been adressed.

Early Access Review
Takes the best Parts of Borderlands/ Looter shooters:
-Randomized Guns to loot
-Building a characters skills on the go
-smooth gunplay
leaves out the unnecessary annoying parts:
-insane lvl-related damage-drop off without ways to keep good guns
-too much trash loot

There's good potential in this game, but:

It needs in game language settings.

The Stamina-function, as it is now, has to be reworked.
There are three to four core's to the problem:
-attacking and dodging both drains stamina
-the dodgeroll is often not enough to get out of trouble if used once, since enemies, especially Bosses and Mini-Bosses chain multiple attacks that move them forward back to back.
-the stamina is enough for the first section of the game, but after defeating the first or second boss, you will not have enough of it to keep out of enemy attacks and attack afterwards.
-Enemies sometimes channel high-damage spells from off-screen, resulting in heavy punishment running out of stamina or being animation-locked, even though there was no clear telegraph.
Suggested solutions:
-increase the range of the dodgeroll
-make attacking or dodgeroling cooldown-based instead of stamina-based. The basic attacks could be also limited to not exceed the 'mana' cap, creating a positive incentive to utilize spells and mix them with base-attacks.
-increase endurance to stamina scaling (make it 1 to 5-10 instead of 1 to 2
-decrease the amount enemies move forward/increse their attack range while attacking, so precise one-time dodgerolling can get you to safety
-improve camera movement and enemy AI to better telegraph powerfull attacks

Until these issues have been improved upon, i cannot recommend this game.
If these changes come within the next month, I'll update my review to reflect what they will or wont have done.

A beauty of a game. While often difficult, only the Arena proved frustrating to me. Apart from that the gameplay is superb, learning the attacks of enemies and how to use them to your advantage is immediately rewarded. In the case of Boss fights it will take you noticeably further. And beholding the masterfully crafted atmosphere, woven through the handrawn graphics, lighting, background composition, visual effects and lastly, the incredible score by Christopher Larkin.......that alone would be wirth more at least four times than it actually costs. A heartmelting and challenging adventure, that often left me speachless (or control-inputless, to be accurate) just through it's stunning impression. This one really earned a special place within my heart <3

The idea of the game is awe-inspiring, but it doesn't hold up to the expectations.

One major problem is that the client is instable and tends to crash as well as lag often becoming an issue because of high resource requirements.
In addition the 'Annihilating' weapons often are just an irrelevant factor and do'nt come with a high reward, as they often can be dodged and taken out by a bigger army than yours that you could have build yourself with the resources you spend on an annihilator. The Annihilaser is an exception but the eco to set up defences for building it is most times only avaible for the more dominant players.
The 'Titan' expansion, along with engine improvements, a lot of bugfixes and unit balance would make it a great game, but I don't see this happening, as the Titans are only avaible as DLC.

It is sad to see a great concept fall apart half-way finished because of lack of motivation to make it an enjoyable longtime experience.
