Spent so long trying to get it to work, foolishly not believing that they could've released a game in such a horrendous state, that I'm outside the refund window. Would if I could, especially now that the game is dead.

Unless some crazy new stuff gets added, this could've been a DLC.

I get that it's in Early Access, but the amount of content is pretty pathetic and it does nothing unique over the main slime rancher, besides making it so resource gathering for crafting is extremely inconsistent early game (And you have to sacrifice exploring/capturing slimes just to hold the resources, since you can't predict or reliably farm them when you want)

The point of a sequel should be to elevate, possibly improve, but mainly, change the experience from the first game. This so far just feels like a watered down DLC that they didn't want you to keep your progress from the first game.

The story is also in a bit of a bare-bones, rough spot. Hopefully all of this gets fixed in the future, but as it all stands you can pick up on the "big twist" in about 3 lore dump messages, so. Not all too exciting.

Hopefully new mechanics are added that make this actually stick out from the original. Otherwise if this game stays about the same, but only with new slimes and new areas, I won't be able to view this as anything other than a cash grab.

You may not immediately believe this review. You might think this is some kind of "joke" or "meme", but I assure you, it isn't.

I have been on Steam for a few years now. I've seen a lot of games, played a lot of games, and done the ins and outs of the industry a million times over.

But this game, nay, this work of art, has changed my life. This game is the ultimate and final experience one could expect from gaming.

The genre of video games seems to have been invented for this experience and this experience alone. This is a perfect masterpiece, handed to the public for such an inexpensive price, and even then, it commonly goes on sale.

Everyone needs to play, no, experience this game. It's deep, intricate lore established through a series of mini-movies and with a devilishly clever hidden easter egg proves how much work the creator poured into his craft.

29/10 from me. Beyond perfection.

The game is borderline unplayable in the way that the developers try to funnel players in. If you want to play on Community Servers, which are a pain to try and find one that fits what you want, then it's fine. But the actual advertised "official" gamemodes are filled with automatic aimbot bots that make it impossible to so much as move out of the spawn room.

Literally the best game I've ever played. It's adorable, amazingly fun, and has things for gamers of all skill levels. Whether this is your first game, or your hundreth game, there's hours of fun enjoyment for everyone.
