We can't make our own way into heaven. There is a proper and exclusive procedure.
"For it is by grace you are saved, through faith - and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God - not by works, so that no one can boast." - Ephesians 2:8-9

We have all sinned and deserve to be sent to hell. We cannot fix the situation on our own. Our good deeds cannot outweigh our bad deeds, no matter how hard we try.
This is why God sent His son: to take the punishment for us! The debt is already paid, you just need to acknowledge and accept it!
