Introduction-
In terms of video games over the years Black Ops 1 has to be an instant classic, It has been the parent to tons of communitity remarks and refrenceces included the most famous of them all "The numbers mason, what do they mean?". This video game is one of the highlights of my youth as it is contains one of the most replayed single player experiences for me, I enjoyed the story mode so much to the point of memorizing the hidden collectables known as intel by heart and still have a faint idea of all locations to this day. My copy of Blops on steam is not the first time i've played it as i did play the game when it released on ps3 and would play that copy over and over again up until my departure from video games in 2012, though my return to it on my pc in 2016 was met with open arms of the Black ops game. Alright enough of the history of the game and I which is obviously telling of a certain bias my review might have of being one of the few things i enjoyed of my youth. It's time for my breakdown.

Campaign-
Easily one of the most memorable story modes of gaming next to silent hill 2 and arkham city, this game was a continuation of the universe of the developer Treyarch's past game World At War, but not in story but in the world as we see mutiple instances of Characters from waw in blops, most prominent will be Reznov as we get to see him post ww2 betrayed by his country as he perfectly states "Stalin had little need for heroes". The main character of the game will meet him for the first time after being captured by cubans and sent to a prisoner labor camp in russia which would birth another black ops classic "The Steps to freedom". I could go on and on about all the small story details, but i want to try and keep this to a review and not a sweet nostalgia trip. On the surface level and for new beginners the black ops story doesn't seem to broad as you feel the only objective your trying to figure out is what the numbers are supposed to mean, but as you go through the flashback sequences of mason reliving the events up until the interrogation you find there's alot more to the world then figuring out what a number sequence is, the player's perspective on the matter gets a whole new light when the twist is revealed and the player figures out why mason is seeing these numbers and hallucinations. Writing a review won't give the story the justice it needs to experience it, that's why this section of the review is a definate must play. The down sides of the campaign is the less fluid gun play compared to newer standards of a very slick fps flow. The enemy ai is nothing to write home about and the harder difficulties are more frustrating then they are dynamic as it's just a grenade onsluaght enemy npcs with an unfair aim assist. For people looking for a casual playthrough i would definately recommend playing the game at recruit or regular. For people looking for a story to really sink there teeth into and look for more past the initial game the intel collectable found through out the campaign will reveal classified documents dipicting backstory and world expension to the universe built by the Developers.

-9/10 Definate must play

Multiplayer-
I'm not one to have a too in depth opinion on cod multiplayers as they all have there own twist, but are relatively similar to one before to not spark to much of a need for discussion. I will talk about the new things added and the disadvantages of playing at this far after the games life cycle. New additions: RC-XD first time introduced into cod is a deployable scorestreak to use in it's small incognito fashion, some maps even include secret travel paths for the car to travel through; introduction of a currency system that's earned through doing challenges, killing, and wager matches that bet your earned currency with another players, this currency was used to purchase any thing in the game unlocked from leveling up, this would be the only game to incorperate it, but also led to the introduction to new classic games modes; New Game modes, these were new gamemodes that had never been seen in a cod that led to a sorta love for the new experience, im not gunna describe these games modes but i will list them off and if you'd played a cod past 2011 then you should know these, Sticks and stones, One in the chamber, Gun Game, And Kill Confirmed. All these new additions and the first cod set in the cold war set for a experience reminisced by everyone who was apart of the communitity at the time of release, though if your planning on playing now in 2018 you won't find the same experience as most players have moved on and the games were more played on the console ports. if you do decide to play you'll most likely only be able to find hardcore crouch only matches and double xp tdm only nuketown lobbies. Definately not the experience it was then

-(on release) 8/10 (now) 6/10 Play if bored

Zombies-
Personally i play the zombies mode call of duty the most so i have just more than a two cents to give when it comes to my opinions on the matter, I don't want to be overwhelming when it comes to the descpition of this mode so ill talk about it in a more basic fashion then i normally would. Black ops 1 features 10 zombie maps and a zombie arcade game known as dead ops arcade. Dead ops is just small fun, the real meat in potatoes comes in the 6 new zombie maps and four waw maps ported into the new engine. For zombies players black ops features the most zombies maps in one game second to black ops 3's whopping 14 and dead ops arcade 2. Zombies is not for the people who don't want to spend money as only 2 maps and dead ops come as part of the game while the rest are in DLC, one of the downsides of being a fan of the zombies experience is the price tag that comes with it. Zombies is a horde mode unlimited wave gamemode that expands on the gameplay, mechanics, and story introduced in the first iteration of zombies in waw. The Zombies mode as a whole can be intimidating to get into for newer players which makes black ops 1 so great as it features the starting point of zombies in call of duty. The story can be hard for alot of people to keep track of or go into so for the most part is ignored except for the more hardcore of zombies audience. If you like a story you can invest in takes more thought to keep track of and understand then this is for you, but if your looking for an easy playing casual experience black ops 1 is also great for this as later titles tend to be too overwhelming in gameplay for people to play regularly. Zombies follow 4 soilders from ww2 stereotyping each culture they originate from, Nikolai Belinski (my fav) A drunk russian communist who has a plethra of wives and make sadistic comments and comical remarkes, Takeo Masaki A japanese man hell bent on honoring the emperor and japanese culture/ family and has a strong hate for the russian, Tank Dempsey A meat-headed testoterone filled load mouth badass who constantly breaks the fourth wall, and Edward Richtofen A german Nazi scientist who has more secrets then a teenage girl's diary, is insane, and is suspectantly homoerotic. These four go on a journey through iconic locations to achieve richtofens goal that he keeps to himself that is only revealed till the last map moon. Through every location explored there is more to find out and learn about the zombies timeline and world. As a new player it can be intimidating going alone so i'll leave 4 discord links with fellow Zombies players that could help you into the communitiy (1: My Personal Discord https://discord.gg/aRKGwGg ) (2: Cod Subreddit https://discord.gg/CallofDuty ) (3:Zomz https://discord.me/zomz ) (4:CXV https://discord.gg/d4DGVVE )

Call me all you want. You wouldn't last 10 minutes in a debate about any subject within politics, philosophy, sociology or economics with me anyway. Or would you? Because so far, all I see is that you're just another sad millenial that has only ever learned anything about conservatism or the right via some random snowflake on youtube, Tumblr or Twitter. Or even worse, from a canned commie history teacher in school. Do you fap to hentai still living with mom too? I really hope you don't. The mere fact you mentioned the word "fascist" and ♥♥♥♥ towards my person gives away the fact you are clueless just like 99% of the SJWs, Antifas, Blackblocs.

Feel welcome to invite me to a debate if you want. Until then, you can downvote and play the 20-something year old millenial with college debt you probably are all you want, I won't mind. Feel free to say I was triggered by you. Would entertain me even further if you did.:f_china:
