We will be recording with a free software known as Open Broadcaster Software/OBS. If you have something potentially better than I suppose you should use it. JUST UNDER ONE CONDITION!
Please record in MP4 format, this is so it is easy to edit in basically any software. This also means everyone will record the same file type.
OBS for you is possibly recording in AVI or FLV as default. To change this it is very easy.
Simply follow these steps...
Open OBS
Go to File at the top left and select "Settings" in the drop down box.
A new window will open. Go to the "Output" section.
There are two very important things here. Your recording quality and format, located at the bottom of the window in the output section.
Select the "Recording Format" and change it to "mp4".
Select the "Recording Quality", this will change depending the game you are playing. CPU is what matters, this can be found out in "Task Manger". If your game is taking up 90% of your CPU, the recording will probably have terrible quality even on lowest settings. So make sure you configure those properly specifically to your CPU.
