I don't want to buy from Epic Games or own my games there, no matter how cheap they are or the discount offers .
The only games I own on Epic Games are the ones they give away, otherwise I wouldn't own any .
I'm interested in Alan Wake Remastered and Alan Wake 2, but only if they're on Steam .
That said, it's very upsetting and frustrating to see the company go this way. To see the official representatives to call me out among other people that been here with them since being elementary school students in 1996 and onwards. To be alienated, shunned, disrespected and, at the end of the road, ignored.
It's sad to see Remedy go like that, not with the bang, but with the flop that Alan Wake is, selling their soul to the devil, as someone stated below in the comments.
And i don't mean Epic. What Epic does is unhealthy and vicious, but it is fair market game nonetheless. I don't mean Epic by no means.
Goodbye, Remedy, it was a great almost 30 years ride for me personally. I guess everything good has to end at some point.
Death Rally was a thing my dad often enjoyed apart with Fallout 1 and 2 rpg games.
Max Payne was a grand part of me growing up. Both physically and as a person.
Max Payne 2, the story of a man that just refuses die peacefully, gave me a lifetime of good memories, both in vanilla and with mods.
I was insanely hyped for Alan Wake, and despite its gameplay being very tedious and a chore, had beaten it twice on consoles. Not on PC tho, to my shame.
Quantum Break got me heavily hyped, and despite being quite mediocre shooter, its story stays with me to this day. One of few games i actually came back to, to appreciate more.
And finally, Control. I personally find it the peak of Sam Lakes mindgames. Despite almost all characters besides main character and few sides being just a placeholders for story to keep going on, it houses immense amount of quality stories of love and horror.
Alan Wake 2 hasn't turned a profit 6 months in and there's no Steam release in sight, but Remedy says it's in control
