Without mods there is no way to enforce pve so admins or serverowners would have to constantly monitor the server and ban those who kos which is hard because vanilla dayz also makes it very hard for serverowners to see who killed who.

The serverowner in your case probably just gave up and said f it due to all the idiots who love trolling pve servers with their kos behavior.

Try again. If u will be knocked before day end - u will lose this bargain from merchant immediately. If u take greatness buff from libra - u should be alive before day end.

This game suffers a huge amount of issues from janky combat, to flawed mechanics, and systems, watered down weak pvp, bad loot system, simplified building system, and annoying guild system.

No way in hell this game lasts more than a month in its current state.

Kinda sad cause I see potential but they should cancel release and rework the game a bit...otherwise its over...

dead no, but where it's at right now is about where it's gonna be, maybe a bit lower or a bit higher depending on times, but they really should of had a singleplayer option like conan did, would had more players & far more of that "infinite playability" that games of this type do with singleplayer.

Yeah I think that is an AI bug, but it generally indicates like a VIP or something you need to kill for a quest.
