As far as i know, once you burn through the sink's cap limit then that's it until you spend caps to buy something. I never stuck around long enough to see if it replenishes caps every few days or not.

Happened to me the first playthrough as well. As long as his caps never exceed 32,000 you should still be able to sell to him and receive caps. I guess they were never able to patch it and there's really no fix. The only way around it is to reload a previous save to before he had over 32,000 caps or just never let it get that high in the first place. It sucks, I know, but you can play throught he DLC without selling to him.

If the sink accumulates I think 35k or more in bottle caps it won't pay you anymore. Best to not let it get more than 25k to be safe. Also, it takes a full seven days for all the games merchants to fully re-stock what you buy from them.

The answers to your troubles. There is a mod which adds a holo vendor into the Big MT, just outside the think tank. So it gives you a second merchant in the sink with a decent amount of caps.

Link: http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/55522/? (Damn it took a lot of scrolling to find that one...)

If that doesn't tickle your crinklesack then I have a link to a patch for the OWB Sink that will fix it for you.

Note, the patch is fan made, not official, I am in no way responsible if it messes your game up in some way, you can take that up with the author of the mod.

Oh, well his caps are way over that. I am now just paying myself for what the sink owes

So I used the validate command and the door opned into, nothing. You can can into it but you get dropped right back out. That's what I get. I even exited the game and shut of the pc and it still happened. I really don't want to reload the game but am think it's my only option. Any thoughts

hi guys, I have the same problem about being non-paid for items I sold to the Unit in The Sink.
What can I do to solve that ? I read a story about a mod, but does it works ?

Yes, all mods that modify the Sink's vendor behaviour, fix the cap overflow bug.

ok I just installed nexusmods patch. It does works, as the vendor is now paying for stuff i sell, and is stuck around 30k caps, but now i've game instability : i had 4 crashs in 3/4 hours games (odd : 1 per hour... just to have break thou..), that i didn't had before (lucky me, i was probably the only one there.. but not any more). Is that a side effect of the patch, nor was I luck lucky to that point ?
talgaby Feb 2, 2015 @ 12:52am
The patch doesn't induce any instability, it just corrects bugs.
