If worries about stability are your worry, then don't worry!
I want to warn you though - this game is difficult. It is frustrating. You will die a "lot," even if you're good at this kind of game, in the process of learning how to play and mastering fighting certain enemies or bosses and the like. If dying in a game like this is seen as a lesson to improve and enjoy the final victory, and you want a game with really awesome combat and a great sense of accomplishment when you finally pull off wins, then this is for you.
With the exception of the fact that Dark Souls 3 did not work at launch for anyone using an HDMI cable and playing from a tv rather than a monitor, but they did fix that the monday after the game came out so I forgave them :)

I agree with this. There's some stuff like controllers that might require an additional step to get working well (turning of the gyro for example) or no widescreen support (there's already fixes for that iirc) but other then that the game runs very well in my experience.
