Alpha 0.10 Test Build
Howdy Folks!

The very first test build is now available in the Test Builds Branch. Please read the "Test Builds - Read First" thread for more information on how to opt-in.

Alpha 0.10 is now live in the main branch.

Latest Changes In Test Version
  • VSync now enabled by default and can be toggled in settings
  • Re-organized some data recovery projects and some objects now require new data recovery projects before they are available.
  • Colonists will now craft items at crafting stations using a round robin method.
  • Added keybind setting to show decor overlay
  • Bench now provides positive decor
  • New chair furniture item

Features
  • New Lumen Bulbus crop
  • New cloth item created from Lumen Bulbs
  • Some objects now require cloth as a building material
  • Various objects in the game now positively or negatively effect the facility decor
  • New data visibility options at bottom right to toggle between power, water and decor data view modes. Decor view shows a graphic overlay indicating positive decor in green and negative decor in red.
  • Colonists stress will increase or decrease as they walk into areas of negative/positive decor.
  • Can now pan camera by moving cursor to the edge of the screen.
  • New bench and chair decorations which colonists will use to sit and relax. Amount of stress reduction while sitting down is effected by decor.

Changes
  • Updated plant graphic rotation in crop fields so that crops look a bit more varied and natural
  • Updated visual appearance of Hemp crop
  • Colonists will no longer perform work if stress is at max
  • Required Job Role for craft recipe now shown in craft stations.
  • Bio-Refiner now required botanist job role instead of engineer
  • Medical cabinet now included in Biology recovery project instead of being available at start
  • Selecting objects will still move the camera to target and follow the selection, but this will be cancelled when using the keyboard or mouse to move the camera.
  • Selection lock/follow can be toggled in settings.
  • Edge Scroll can be toggled in settings
  • New selection sound effects for colonists
  • New background music in Main Menu

Fixes
  • Optimized UI for increased performance on lower spec systems
  • Quality setting now affects post processing filters
  • Fixed issue with color correction causing strange screen colors on some video cards
  • Fixed game crashing if colonist was unable to find a path when trying to refuel a generator
  • Deconstructed objects should no longer drop items on non-walkable tiles. This relates to deconstructing conduits under water which would drop items on water tiles that would make
  • the tile temporarily walkable. This would lead to colonists getting stuck in water.
  • Fixed issue with keyboard camera rotation working opposite to mouse camera rotation
  • Fixed issue with colonists eating/sleep priorities

This seems to crash when an engineer tries to ues the bio-refiner.

Thanks for the report. I have not had any reported issues of game crashes related to the bio-refiner. The botanist profession now handles crafting at the bio-refiner. Are there any specific steps to recreate the game crash?

My bad, didn't notice the change. Either way, should be super replicable--just queue up a few of the three building materials and wait for the game to hang, then crash.

Quite strange indeed. I queued up 10 or each (Resin/Plastic/Cloth) and they completed the entire batch of 30 items without an issue. I'll see if I can get the crash to replicate with different combinations as it appears to be something specific that triggers it.

Edit:
Looks to be related to queuing items you don't have enough resources to craft. Got a hard lock by queuing up cloth, as well as resin, before having the ingredients to make cloth. Now I just need to fix it. :)
