Should I use MODS?
So, thus far, I am really enjoying playing this game without any mods whatsoever. I am a big fan of games like Cities Skylines where I need to use countless mods to get the right effect. Is there any particular mod that really improves on the WH base game?

For me no but then again I played Skyrim without mods multiple times and had lots of fun :steamhappy:

if your still happy with the main game keep going with it, mods can be good for refreshing stuff when it starts getting stale for you

playing vanilla is kind of nice but if you get the feeling that it feels more like "meh" i reccomend steel faith overhaul (SFO)

Yes: Unit Caps for All.
I can't play without it.
It really greatly improves the campaign experience and the general gameplay.

It's the only mod I consider essential.

Better Camera mod, less blood less gore and total unit resize

a few mods are indispensable imo; decline diplomacy so your endturns are uninterrupted, AI general so you can fight the easy fights without accepting the autoresolve casualties

The rest there's a lot of things where if while you play you go " I wish in this game they'd do this" there's a goo chance someone had the same idea and ade the game do it.
The most important for me of this kind are; no walls=no siege, immortality for all and recently unit/army caps as well as stronger chaos invasion

Eventually if you get bored but still want to play there are mods that completely change the map and powerdynamics

you dont need to, but the first 2 really improve gaming experience without changing any rules, the others improved the game for me.

You should browse the workshop's most popular one.
There is quite a lot of good things which only provide a more comfortable gameplay, camera etc
Some of them provide better visual for particular faction/units.
and other change/improve some mechanics that you may feel they needed.

Really go look, try what you like, and make your choice

The question is: do you want to use mods? If you're still perfectly happy with the game there is no reason to use mods. But if you have some minor issues with the game there is a decent chance some mods exist to deal with those issues. Or you can try bigger mods in case you want something new.
