Alternative Lighting

Description
This mod brings TWW 2 lighting closer to TWW 1- darker and less colorful.
It should be compatible with any mod, except other weather mods obviously.

What it does, specifically:
- I balanced the environment color palette to use less red and eliminate the orange glow in maps.
- I tweaked color intensity for specific areas.
As a result maps in Bretonnia and Lustria are more lush and green while the vampire counts and chaos wastes use darker, more saturated colors.
- It lower excess post processing effects to allow greater view distance and may improve FPS for some users.

What it doesn't do:
- The mod won't get rid of the sunset preset in maps but it will give most of them a light pink hue instead of bright orange..
- The mod will not change the actual brightness level, feel free experimenting with the "Brightness & Gamma" setting in the game's options menu.

If you encounter a bug please report it here, write the name of the map or if playing the campaign- the region.

Special thanks for Kelstr, creator of Improved Weather mod for TWW 1 and the grim and dark version for TWW 2, for inspiration and giving me some idea on how to mod map colors.

Wish this existed for WH3, the lighting is kind of horrible. Almost all my hours of WH2 are with this mod, amazing job mate! :er_heart:

@Davide if anything it should give you some fps since the game uses less resources, but that's not the mod's intention.

@Krb it works on both, keep in mind it only changes battles (campaign map is untouched).

Sorry but no, this will remain a TWW 2 exclusive.
I made this mod because I felt the post processing effects in TWW 2 were way overtuned, you need only look at the screenshots I took and see some scenery in maps hidden by the fog effect.
This is more or less fixed in TWW 3, or it's not nearly as bad as in 2.

I Thank all of you for the support and showing interest in my mod.

Could this be ported to Warhammer 3?

This remains my absolute favourite lighting mod to this day, thanks Edorn!

@Brig202 Still works fine for me just tried it. Maybe you downloaded a new mod that broke it or something.

This is an awesome mod, yet CA has fucking broke it with its latest shitty brute-force "BUY WH3!" marketing update
