Report a translation problem
This seems not to have worked for me, so I am unsure as to what is causing the issue. My guess is that it is either the latest nvidia drivers, or a direct X issue, but considering NVAPI is nvidia's API setting, I assume it must have something to do with the nvidia settings or latest drivers.
EDIT: Okay, so all I had to do to fix my issue was reinstall the latest nvidia drivers and the problem seems to have stopped. My framerate seems to have improved quite a bit as well for some reason! Hope this helps someone.
0xFFFFFFFD is -3, which is defined this way in NVAPI:
Basically, your driver is old as dirt or only partially installed and the game can't cope with that.
