Is there a Guide specific to the Flat Piece?
Or somerthing more in line with how to make a more round spherical 'corner'. I'll beat my head on it till I figure it out, but still the headache to know you have all the pieces you need yet find round objects complicated.

Simplest sphere is made out of Corners 1 and 2. Since they are symmetrical it is easy to control things.

However, you are probably talking about this:

Can also help to download some ships from the Workshop and examine their construction - if you can take them apart piece by piece it can help you to get your head around how they fit together,

For example, one of my favourite ship builders has a few ships that boast smooth curves in their shapes. Check out this ship here, and others of the 'HON' series by the same user:

thanks, my main issue is when the sizes don't match for one triangle meeting another triangler side for another slope. I pretty much learned Flats are pretty much Corner 2 except they aren't blocky. I just feel like I'm missing a trick. My scaling might just be too small for what I'm working on.

I'll look into that workshop ship and do you no any other workshop items that kind of involve a way to change the slope smoothly particularly at the corners. The problem with the Corner 1 & 2 method It feels like connecting cornering slopes are restricted.

You should just show that you are working on then.

particularly areas near where the yellow light is and also where the wing comes back in and meets the domed hull.

You can do a smooth transition between orange-black parts with a squares and corners. Flat part as it is only prevents you from doing this.

thanks. I might just scale it up and use a transition method which I hope will work by using what would be .1 or .05 cube block which I hope will give some leaway in the future. problem is when I first make it I have no Idea what size either is going to be and I just wing it really.

or scaled representative of the slope to transition with. I don't know how to explain what I'm thinking, I just feel like there is enough here to do it, but you need to do some tricks in these cases.

Doing stuff like this with blocks feels different than doing it in blender.

working in a larger scale does help see things differently I was able to tweak the workshop piece shown to use a corner 1 & 2 to better transition the sloped corners with an edge piece

I'll see if working front to back instead of back to front, like I did in the example ship of mine, and working in a larger scale will help in the next design I make and I'll share my results

I feel you. General advice. You should start by getting accustomed to blocks. Video tutorials and other design dismantling doesnt really help you to start building yours. Editor is completely counterintuitive and has almost vertical learning curve. You have to waste some time playing with blocks to learn them. There is no other way around it. After that you will be able to transition into actual ship design.
