What Exactly Does The "Sell Trash" Button Do?
Im afraid to use it because I dont know what the game considers "trash." It may sell something I want to keep. Everything in the game has a function so Im not sure what is trash. Unless trash is something that will be added to the game later?

if i remember correctly you can mark items as trash in the inventory screen, just as you can favorite items; so it would make sense for it to sell anything you currently have marked as trash.

Just looked at my inventory. There is no option to mark anything as trash. The only option is to destroy something.

If you open up your inventory, there should be a very dim star and trash can icon oriented towards the top right of the icon of the item. If you right click the star, it will mark it as a favorite. If you right click the trashcan, it will mark it as trash.

Okay wow... they are really hard to see. Who thought making them nearly invisible was a good idea?

Ok so.. I understand what marking trash is for, so why would I want to make something a favorite?

The inventory can get really cluttery, and it's hard to find specific modules that you have a use or inkling for, but aren't currently equipped on your ship, such as equipping captains, or fitting your ship a specific way for either mining or salvaging, vs combat. It's also very useful when you adjust your ship's size or material type, since it unequips all your turrets... Having to go through all your turrets again to find your previous ones is a pain... So it's useful.

Favoriting them ofcourse places that star there, but it also puts it at the front of the inventory for quick location and safekeeping.
