collided planets
A few weeks ago a saw a video of two planets that were merged, right next to each other, does anyone know of systems that have these? Also how does gravity work when you are right between them?

I made a guide about the collided planets about a year ago, where I listed the ones that were found, and that I could visit and verify.

But you have to be careful when exploring them, there is a risk of getting stuck in a situation that is impossible to get out of.
In order to easily solve such problems, I recommend that you make a backup copy of your save files before you start exploring them.

My guide is here.

Back up your save before you explore them. There was a thread just yesterday where someone got stuck in a loop falling back and forth from one atmosphere to the other. That being said, they are fun to explore!

Someone here has a guide with a bunch of these systems glyphs listed. This is one of them. Gravity is really wonky, such as one can only boost a slight distance off the ground and then encounters a massive drag.

Ive seen a few of your vids and Ive been meaning to tell you I love your ship, I wound up with a yellow A hauler that looked good, its one of the short ones without the wings and all, whats kicking me though is the 1st time I laid eyes on one, it was a flipping S class, but I was full up on ships and did not want to trade my main one, I was so ticked..

Thank you so much for all the help, I can’t wait to explore, and possibly build some weird bases on these planets.

Thanks for making this guide! I can’t wait to check out these planets.

I LOVE these planets. I found a pair. Once.

Never found them again, and never wrote down the address, because that was before I started using portals regularly. A shame.

I hope to find another pair someday. I'd love to try and build a base at the intersection.

I was on a collided planet where you get close to the other one & are at a 45 degree angle on the ground. Ships land funny at the trading posts. Try to find a curious deposit & shoot them & watch them roll. I'd hoped they'd ping pong over to the other planet but they finally got stuck somewhere.

Well, this is a bit late but today I found a merged planet myself and got trapped in the middle, it made an autosave in between but now I am stuck floating between them, one water one land. Anyone have advice on how to escape or will I have to use mods/save editor?

If the autosave is the issue, then try loading your restore point...

You could also try building a base with a teleporter and using that to get away

I wouldnt land there or even go near it, cause of glitches and could cause your pc to crash as well. That shouldnt even be in there, if it does, those two planets going to destroy each others like that.

They wont do anything to each other, they are not real planets...
But yes, it's wise to be careful with saves around such things as they can be quite glitchy
