Expedition 4 - can you ride sandworms?

I finished Expedition 4, and from the trailer I thought I would be able to ride the sandworms at the end, but this did not happen. Have I made anything wrong or is it something that you get post-ending? I have not (yet) used the egg I earned, is that what will allow me to ride a sandworm?

Or simply there is no such thing?

You'll get a Sandworm egg as the final reward, for completing the expedition.
And, yes, when hatched, you can ride it.. :)

Great! What is the size of the hatched sandworm? If I work it on the Nexus genetic sequencer, can I make it bigger?

About super sizing the worm...

For anyone with high hopes, realize that the worm is just another companion. It is never going to be what your expectations are...unless you have a very low bar for expectations.

It is cute, it is ridable, but it is not anywhere close to what it would be to actually ride the super worms .
