Please add in-game option to change language

So recently I've got back into NMS with free version of GeForce Now (which is the only way I can play it). The problem? The entire thing is in Polish! Yes, I am from Poland, I can understand it, but the "quality" (or rather lack there of) of this translation is driving me insane.

I'd rather have it in English.

Now, if I were to run NMS locally (which I can't), I would go into the properties, go to the language tab and set the language there.

Not possible with GF Now, becuase nVidia is bunch of dum-dums that force launch the game after clicking play (though I can't complain about the quality, GF Now runs well for me, aside of the language issue) and therefore you are unable to go into steam settings of the game.

So, Hello games, please add the ability to set game's language inside the game (options menu?)

Good to know that problem isn't exclusive to Xbox Game Pass. Can't count the times I downloaded a game only for it to start in Portuguese and the only way to change it would be changing the system language, which is too much of a hassle for me to be bothered.

I honestly don't understand why developers do this. It's as if anyone not born in a country where English is the primary language can't speak English at all. In fact, many of us speak English better than them 🤨

AFAIK this has been an issue with nVidia for at least two years if the ages of posts I've seen are anything to go by. Will post it at the zendesk thing.

You can set the language in one mxml setting file in the SETTING folder. Just be sure to use the right syntax. The line is:

<Property name="LanguageSetting" value="english" />

in the TKGAMESETTINGS.MXML file. You can use 'french', 'german', 'italian', 'russian', 'spanish' and others. Strictly respect the syntax above and don't remove any quotes.

For Steam users: you can set the game language in the Steam interface for the game I think. GoG users have a dedicated language launcher for the game if they so want, go look for a file named 'LanguageSetup.exe' in the main game folder.

Add the line I say above in the file and it should work. I don't know what GeForce has to do with language settings of NMS, you ought to explain.

GeForce Now is a streaming service a la Stadia, but better. There are no files to tinker with.

Streaming services? Sorry I don't know these beasts, I'm content to play the game and that's it. If I watch or make a video for this game I would have the right interface for sure.

No, not like Netflix. The game is streamed from NVIDIA's servers into their app so that people can play it. It's a way to play games you couldn't otherwise run, which seems to be OP's reasoning for using Now to begin with 💁🏻‍♂️ Thus, there are no files to tinker with, unfortunately.

Well, you are in luck. You can launch Steam via GFN and then change the language of NMS via Steam properties.

I'm aware of this workaround but I have to do this each and every time I want to play.
