Valve Index Not Detected
I have recently bought a Index from the Steam Store and have been using it for about two months now. About a week ago, a wind-storm hit my area and caused a power surge to hit my residence. I was on my PC at the time but not actively in VR or running any VR software. The only damage has been that when I turn on my Index and boot up the SteamVR software, I get the Headset Not Detected error. Hoping it wasn't an issue with the cable, I tried everything I could find on the community and help pages and Reddit. I've switched what ports my cables are plugged into, updated drivers, re-adjusted cords, turned off power management for USB ports, uninstall and re-install SteamVR, and restarted my computer numerous times. I finally decided the worst had happened and ordered a new tether cable and trident cable from IFixIt. I installed the new cables, making sure the tether was snugly fit in the headset and the like, but I'm still having the same problem even after doing everything I did before with the new cables. Then I updated to windows 11, updated and reinstalled bluetooth drivers, and nothing has really helped. I've been able to discover though that in the SteamVR menu when I go to bluetooth settings theres no option to enable bluetooth, even with bluetooth on my PC itself enabled. I'm frankly at a loss. Any ideas? PC will make the connected/disconnected sound when handling the USB 3.0 on the trident cable, headset will have steady blue lights, base stations and controllers will have a steady green light. Ugh, and just before I was planning to do a 24 Hour Livestream. Help!
