I forget where I initially saw these (it may have seen in some of the Vive materials) but our studio bought a bunch of these:
http://www.amazon.com/FastCap-Support-System-144-Inches-3HAND5/dp/B000067S12
They use compression against the floor and the ceiling to stay up. You don't have to screw anything into the wall, and they have a way smaller footprint than most tripod type stands. (You do need to have a ceiling that is <12' though)
That company makes mounts for cameras/laser levels that stick to the poles using magnets but after reading the reviews, we decided to go with a heavier duty clamp mounting. I think these were the ones we went with:
http://www.amazon.com/Smallrig%C2%AE-Ballhead-Multi-function-Adapter-Standard/dp/B00DJ5XH4O
This setup allowed us to mount the lighthouses nice and high without worrying about it falling or vibrating. The articulated head allows for all kinds of angle adjustment. We have two different testing spaces setup like this and can strongly recommend them.

Hi, I ended up buying these tripods, they have worked great!
Here are some pictures: http://imgur.com/a/wXRCT
Important thing is that they are stable without taking too much space on the ground, and they are 3m tall which is nice for the stations.
In addition, although it is not mandatory, I bought these adapters ( I tried to found the ones they use in official HTC Vive booth) : http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00EVL1K3K?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00
This installation is great :)
Here in Italy the "Goliton U-shape" is not simple to found. I found two alternative, what is the best alternative with Photo Studio Light Stand?
The second is cheaper, but i'm not sure is good for the stand.

And this stand is good? 2,20m
http://www.amazon.it/DynaSun-Cavalletto-Stativo-Professionale-Standard/dp/B008NJM4I6/ref=pd_sim_sbs_421_2?ie=UTF8&dpID=31O6WSKjOgL&dpSrc=sims&preST=_AC_UL160_SR160%2C160_&refRID=1RMW09QGMTEA0J3F3JT0
From the pictures it looks like you just used a rubber band to attach the base stations to the stands. Is that the case?
Cheap and very useful i think.
For the stands i'm going to buy 2,20m tripod on amazon (36€ for two picecs here in Italy).
Total less 50€ and i can move the lighthouses where i want :)
I like the way I can take it all apart when the wife comes home ... sadly theres nothing virtual about that reality lol
If you are in the UK you can get the stands on Ebay.co.uk albeit shipped from the US and I reckon they'll cost £100 by the time they get to me including shipping and any import duties.
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/381281653045
They are over £200 on amazon uk.
However the smallrig mounts ARE on Amazon UK at £16.99 each

@ Dr Okk
These look like a great deal for the price. How have they been holding up? Any bounce or are they cushioned to absorb slight shaking / bouncing?
For video production I've always gone with something more durable in appearance and could withstand the weight of actual lighting gear, but considering the low weight of the lighthouse box, these are probably way more than enough.
These look great for the price. I presume they are sturdy enough for the lighthouses and when they are extended, is the diameter at the top large enough to safely attach a camera mounting clamp?
I just got these: http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B000V9IVPG
They should do the job when I get my Vive but they don't have the handy ratchet clamp. If feel a bit dumb now after seeing the ones you posted :D
