• Use the mod tools archive viewer to open Company of Heroes 2\CoH2\Archives\ArtBritish.sga
• Navigate through to \art\armies\british\soldiers\engineer\
• Extract engineer.abp to \your mod\art\armies\british\soldiers\engineer\ (screenshot)[puu.sh]
• Edit engineer.abp and add the line for the animation blueprint of the M1 Thompson: "..\\..\\..\\aef\\weapons\\smg_m1_thompson\\smg_m1_thompson"
• Save the .abp
• Right click on a folder in the mod tools and press 'New Table of Contents' then 'Data' (screenshot)[puu.sh]
• Drag and drop the art folder from your mod to data in the mod tools (screenshot)[puu.sh]
• Build your mod
• Repeat the steps for any other units/weapons
You can find the .abp file that a certain unit uses by going into the Attribute Editor and going to attrib\ebps\races\british\soldiers\*INSERT SOLDIER* then clicking extensions and looking for entity_blueprint_ext. Open entity_blueprint_ext and look for animator, in the case of brit_medic it looks like armies\british\soldiers\medic\medic. This path is the path to the .abp - data\art\armies\british\soldiers\medic\medic - this will show you which .abp file to edit.
You need to create a new folder on the mod tools called 'art' under data, and then drag the art folder into this new art folder
