Can't Play the Base Game

I recently bought the Company of Heroes 2 Master collection. When I tried to play the DLC campaign it was fine, but when I tried the base campaign, it says I still need to purchase it. However steam won't let me, as is says that I already own the game.
Can anyone help me with this?

I would give it some time as there might be a mix up between Steam and the company Sego. I have been cought in a trap some what like this one as well and after a few days everything worked. Right now this game is free and that could be part of your problem.

Contact Steam support. Sounds like a fk up on their end.

Try downloading the game using Big Picuture mode, it worked for me

What does Big Picture mode mean or how can I do it? This is my first time using steam so I am kinda new in this.

Big picture, is like when you play on Console game - The menu with games/settings of the console (PS/Xbox).

Simply press ALT+Enter when you open Steam.

Currently download/install my Company of Heroes 2: Master Collection. (Which I can't play Soviet Campaign.)

Edit - 4 Hours later: No, it didn't solve the problem - at least for me.

well i think only way for all of us to get this campagins that they cant give for free to us !!!

is to get game on new account if thats possible

there wont be any patch forget about it, patch like that would neeed to rewrite game code in serius way and need a lot of testing its simple impossible

I found a solution to this issue through reddit, however it only works while the game is still free, so get it done before December 10th

Yes, it worked!

Master Collection, And now the Soviet Campaign button change from purchase to Begin.

RIght now, there seem to be 3 methods.
1. Try buying the game in Big Picture mode. (Not sure the logic since we already bought and why would we buy again, probably (I don't know either) redeem and then buy again in Big picture mode.)
Note: Big picture: press ALT+Enter when open Steam.

2. Install the game in Big picture mode.

To fix it, go to the store page in your browser (not Steam itself), log in to your Steam account, press F12 and go to the Console tab of the window that pops up, paste AddFreeLicense('328549');, and hit enter.

The page should pop up a box that says the license has been added.
You can only do this while the game is free.
