I see no difference. Same map, same cities, same trucks.

Why ETS3?

This game is still popular, still provides many people with entertainment, and is still supported. There's no need for a new one yet.

Making a new game would require a renegotiation of licenses with all the truck, trailer and tyre companies, which would take a huge amount of time and money. Plus the building of a whole new map, yet more expense. It doesn't make sense financially while the old game is still successful.

There's a possibility that those companies who have given their licenses for ETS2 will not give them for ETS3, so we may end up with much loved trucks being dropped from the roster and no longer available for us fans to use. Not to mention making a whole new game will take a very long time, so we players will be stuck with no updates or new content for years on end, unlike currently where we get new stuff on a reasonably regular basis. That wouldn't be as much fun for us as gamers.

So...why ETS3?

Son, SCS will not be forced to do anything. This current title is still being developed. This tells you they are still earning enough conkers to remain with the title. Be happy with what you have, not what you want. It only stresses you out.

if SCS won 1 dollar every time someone talks/ask about ETS3, SCS would already have the ETS3... in a mu****er engine and probably it would be triple A Open-World MMORPG game

When dx12 that SCS is working on releases to ETS2, it's pretty much ETS3(2).

And if they did it for every major engine rework we would play ETS4 or ETS5 right now - and had spent thousands of Euros in new full price games and rebuying the same DLCs over and over again.

Just compare 1.47 to 1.0 or any early version and you will know what I am talking about.

I don't know if too many current ETS2 players would buy ETS3 unless they release it with the current DLC content as base content. It would come down to cost for us. Currently I have spent $223.45 USD on ETS2. And I don't have all of the paint jobs. I don't think I would want to but that much into what would be the same game with nicer looking traffic lights. They would really have to come up with one heck of a new feature set.
