Not sure whether to buy the Volvo FH Globetrotter or the Mercedes Benz New Actros streamspace
I'm level 10, I have 189k of money and I'm in doubt if I buy the volvo fh globetrotter or the mercedes benz new actros streamspace, and if I buy one or the other, how do I customize one of them?

To customise, take your truck to one of the little red spanner/wrench icons on the map, access the garage, and there will be a menu option to customise there.

Totally up to your preference. Volvo and Scania have the most powerful engine options at high level, Renault and Iveco the least powerful, everything else is somewhere in the middle. Those are the only real differences between them - aside from that, it's down to which you like the look of most, which you feel more comfortable in, and which suits your driving style.

I think every truck in the game is good. The Mercedes New Actros has a sweet woodgrain interior option. What sort of goods do you want to haul with your first truck because options.

Not sure what level you're at, but get a 6x2 chassis for heavy loads and a 12+2 transmission if you can't yet get an engine with more than 500-ish horsepower.

Edit: Just seen you're at level 10.

The fact you want heavy loads grabbed my attention...
i go for the tiny wee mercedes with 4x2, 320hp, zf16 gearbox and paid £4 for the heavy haulage pack.
if you don't get a warning that your truck aint up for the job, then bugger it.
flame jacket on :)

Every brand is good - and as most "heavy" (that stuff you see in the game with at least the smaller special load DLC is more mid-weight) transports stay still in the high 500s hp range, even the Iveco is fine for them. Just get what you like, indeed you should wait for 6x4 chassis before going heavy, mostly to get the force into the ground. Or at least avoid the old "Steinbruch" mines, hard enough to get out there with both rear axles driven.
volvo 100%, mercedes and renault are the worst trucks if you ask me

I can imagine a driver in the quarry, spinning the wheels at peak RPM and sliding back, punching the steering wheel and yelling, "Haufen Schrott! Wenn du dich nicht benimmst, treibe ich dich von einer Klippe!"

Avoid buying 6x2 chassis and if you buy an 8x4 chassis, lift the tag axles if you lose traction, and when you get to shipper, and pick a load, avoid the trailers with the extra axle at the front, as this takes weight off the truck, and makes it very easy to lose control on grades and curves .. everything else can be compensated for with altering your drive style to the situation

I did all the special cargo with the Mercedes New Actros entry level. Its doable.
Edit: It was all heavy cargo.

8x4 chassis surely would be better, but they were at level 10 when posting. Good advice about the axle.

Those transports weigh up to 70t. If the two lonely rear tires were real, they'd surely explode. :steamhappy:

My bad, it was all heavy cargo, but still ...

Edit: I was at level 7 when I did that.
