So your regular controls.sii file should be fine.
Though I should finally make a note on what line(s) I changed in the controls.sii file back then when they did a first change.
Can I just confirm that these 'presets' which are being added will not take away our ability to customise the controls just the way we like? That we will still have the option to go into the game menus and set what button does what as we always have done before?
Snowrunner had no button customisation for gamepads, only a selection of presets to choose from, and none of them were intuitive or even particularly usable for me. I couldn't even manage 50 hours before it just got too infuriating and I ended up binning the whole title. The game had a number of other faults too, but the lack of proper customisation was perhaps the main one which caused me to quit playing it.
If a game were to go from full customisation support to presets only, and remove the option for players to set their own keybinds, that would be a step backwards of such monumental proportions it would be akin to Humans ditching cars and going back to the horse and cart.
I also very much doubt that they will remove any personal customisation and have the presets more as a good starting point, so to speak.
