Console not working anymore

I was using it for a long time, I know how to activate it and I checked my config file but console is just not working since august. Any ideas?

A couple of ideas.

• First make sure the key is functional using notepad.
  
• Check your in game key bindings and make sure you have not assigned the grave key to anything else.
  
• Maybe you have edited the to use a controls.sii at some time to use a modifier with the grave key, Open that in notepad and search for ("mix console `modifier) the full default command is ("mix console `modifier(no_modifier, keyboard.grave?0)`")

That's about it for ideas from me apart from resetting the keys to default in the UI which would be a last resort in my case.

I'm guessing teleportation from console commands you're having trouble with?
If yes: Do you know that the 1.41 update changed the key binding from F9 to CTRL + F9?

What I've changed some days ago is went from Win 7 to Win 10. After this the problem began.

Sorry, but English is not my main language, and when the console has to be translated into my main language which is Danish, it can mean several different things ... Including keyboard, dashboard, keypad, cabinet.

If you had used the more unique word "keyboard" instead of console, I would not have misunderstood you.

Have you played in convoy mode? That has been messing up my key bindings in my game so maybe it's affecting console command?

Well, mans, I don't know what to do. The ` key itself IS working.
Reinstalling game didn't work.
Droping keys to default didn't work.
Creating new profile didn't work.

And without console this game is almost not playable.

Everything works fine here with me, and since there are apparently no other users than you with that problem, I allow myself to think that the problem is locally with you.
Do you use mods?

You can make neccessary changes to your game using the various config files, there are 3 of them, 1 global and 2 in the profile folder.

The only reason you need the console for what you can't do with the config files is the fly/dev cam, and we all know trucks can't fly.

Well of course there's time and weather, but try changing that irl.

I just made a big search and found out that this problem only arises on Win 10 (which I never wanted to switch to, but was forced to because everything stops supporting Win 7). There is a syntax error that causes the console key to not be noticed by the game, you cannot even type tilde in the chat. So I had to open "controlls.sii" and change the key there. There is a string:
config_lines[123]: "mix console `keyboard.grave?0`"
I changed it to F10 and now console works from it:
config_lines[123]: "mix console `keyboard.f10`"
(instead of 123 there can be other digits, it doesn't matter)
