UK Map
Hi When was the last graphics update to the UK map done for this game or is it still in the original state the game was released in. I am interested in this game but would only play play UK as my brain cant work out how to drive on the right side of the road lol Do all the graphics enhancement mods that are offered on various sites improve the UK map? Thanks to anyone that replies.

You may take a look at this mod to see if it suits you.

Edit: the UK in the current game without mods might be disappointing.

Hi Thanks for your reply. That mod looks fantastic" The only thing I don't understand is why you need 6 dlc from other parts of the world to make the mod function. Do not understand for instance why you need going east mod to make UK mod work.

Because the mod is using assets from thise DLCs.

Your brain can't deal with driving on the right side?
It's just like driving on the left.
VERY EASY!
I don't have a problem with it and you shouldn't either.:steamhappy:

Lol if I was to drive on the right side there would be an accident within minutes. Just cant get my head around it especially roundabouts. I even struggle with Forza Horizon 5 game as its right side of road driving. I much preferred version 4 that was based in Scotland roads. Some people find it really easy to adapt and some people find it very difficult and I am in the latter.

I can drive both sides. But when in an English driving position (drivers seat) I can't drive at all lol. I end up crashing. But when in a European driving position I don't crash at all.

I only drove the uk part of the game for the first two years because i just couldnt get to grips with driving on the opposite side. Truth be known though, i hadnt really tried. I gave in far to easy each time but once i accepted a few...dozen serious crashes no end of ohhhhh nooooo thats the wrong way round a roundabout or turn at a junction and i was soon driving actually better than in the uk lol. simply because i had stopped driving the truck like i had stolen it and payed close attention what i was doing.

Always worth trying again and just slowly slowly until you adjust.

Ps there is a downside, once you fully experience the rest of the content the uk map becomes very tired and lackluster sadly.

I havn't tried the mod suggested above. The ProMods UK version is not bad, it does add quite a few roads. So, have a look over at the ProMods website and see which one you like, or if they can be combined? I know that ProMods does also require all DLCs.

I use a right hand drive (UK spec) truck all the time even though most of my driving is in mainland Europe. Much easier, in my opinion, for judging position.

I'm from the UK irl and have my in-game HQ there, but I buy my trucks in LHD because I spend most of my time in other countries. I find sitting on the roadward side of the cab invaluable for pulling out of motorway sliproads and such.

I can also vouch for the Promods UK map, it's really quite impressive how they've captured the atmospheres and feel of the places, and the details they've added. The mod is awesome in other areas too. However as mentioned above, it does require all DLCs yes.

We are all wired differently, I guess. Like Hermit I chose a LHD cab because I knew there'd be more driving on the right side of the road but I also find that it helps me to avoid the brain fart moments when I'm in a real car.

Hi Thank you all for your replies! I will use the Pro Mods UK map thats been suggested but ill wait until the game next goes on sale so I can buy all the DLC that this mod also requires at a lower price. Thanks again.

Correction :

the video shown in the first reply is not a promod. It is a standalone UK map mod.

If you want to use promods instead, the promods actually cover almost the whole Europe, in which UK also got an overhaul.

And I don't think the 2 can work with each other. You should choose either one. If you really want to focus on the UK, I heard that the UK map mod is bigger and more detailed.
