Traffic intensity?
Which file to i open to change the traffic intensity from 1.0 to 9.0 or 10.0 to make it more real?

In the main config.cfg file, look for:

uset g_traffic "1"

The g_traffic setting is a multiplier. It's a decimal value that can be set anywhere from 0.0 to 10.0 with 1 being default. This will multiply the amount of traffic being generated around you and that when set higher can take a toll of performance when there are many other roads around you in cities for which the game will generate traffic. ;)

Default location on Windows would be:

C:\Users\<username>\Documents\Euro Truck Simulator 2\

There's also a mod I use all the time, which makes the traffic density more realistic (if you don't want to edit your files): https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1236032431

Thank you both

I don't recommend you set it to 10...that's much too high...and as was mentioned, whenever you increase traffic you will increase the amount of resources needed as well....either use a mod as Lithan said or try the config. at 2.0 and see how it looks.

Let me just say that when I tested something I increased traffic to 2.0. The effect was that in cities you were waiting in traffic.

I've been using 1.5 with the DLC Realistic Traffic workshop mod and it gives me a good balance of heavy and light traffic different times of the day.

2.0 seems to be the perfect setting for my taste. Less is "empty", more is "annoying".
