ICELAND not included in any DLC?
Why is there no Iceland DLC for Euro Truck? I kinda expected to see that in the Scandinavia DLC but I would 100% purchase it separately if they came out with one.

There's literally just one single road on that island. I'm not sure if we would have much fun, with that small landmass further scaled down to match the scale of the other areas in the game. But never say never... :)

You gotta use Promods mod if you want Iceland.

Also, trucks and trailers as depicted in the game do not exist on Iceland, at best you will find Samskip trailers in the ports, all the rest of it are small box trucks and not even the big ones in the game, but mostly smaller ones.

edit: some exceptions apply, but it's not common.

Maybe one day they release a single DLC for UK, Ireland, Iceland.

You know.... as Islands are not connected to the mainland dlc content directly...... they can have a different scaling then the Rest of the map.

They won't. UK will get a free rework (like the rest of the base map), Ireland is likely going to be added with it for free.
Iceland is highly questionable as you would more directly ship the cargo containers to the island instead of the truck with the cargo container.

I don't know how realistic it is to have big trucks there, but Promods' version of the place is really cool to drive around, especially the more remote, bleak northern towns.

As whats already said before, its not a country with heavy trucks. And i guess making maps of rest of Europe would come first, like Ireland, Greece, Moldova, Ukraine and mid/northern Scandinavia. Cargo in and out of Iceland goes with either ship or plane. And when considered a dominant part of the population live in and around Reykjavik, there wouldnt be many other destinations on Iceland.
Promods is a good alternative, altough not the most realistic map. For example in real, theres only one ferry line to Iceland and goes from Denmark once a week, with up to a 66 hours trip.
If you have the rest of thr map DLC, I recommend Promods since it has Iceland.

Their Iceland is quite pretty too and fun to drive in.

While Iceland is a interesting topic it suffers not as much in size problems as it does disconnection and remote problems. From what I've seen (not much tbh) there are Semi trucks (lorries, other names for heavy duty vehicles that transport trailers via a 5th wheel) in Iceland, but are not many to the real lack of need for them. They seem to primary be used for Heavy duty transport (wind turbines, excavators, oversize cargo ect), Fuel, and long shipping containers. There are some normal looking trailers but I can't really tell what kind they are due to poor satellite images from google maps nor what the intentional destination is since satellite images only capture a specific moment in time. But I can say that at least the western part of iceland has Semi trucks on them even if in low numbers.

Regarding country size and road diversity. Iceland is reasonably larger then Ireland and far larger then both Corsica and Sardinia so it can have a reasonable amount of driving area without being a real issue. Now the largest issue with iceland is it's lack of any major towns outside of Reykjavík and a few neighboring towns. But SCS has shown that they can pick overall really good towns for areas with low population like Idaho and Wyoming DLCS in ATS so I think they could make something work for Iceland in ETS2.

In my own eyes Iceland in it's own independent DLC is valid to make due to it being large enough, with plenty of roads and unique landscapes, but it should wait for the continent of Europe to be done.

To follow up to this, I think it's a reasonable destination, there are two large shipping companies located in Iceland already that both transport containers and regular trucks across Iceland, there are also a number of ports around Iceland that would make it make sense as a DLC. Plenty of places other than Reykjavik as well (Akureyri in the North, Egilsstadir in the East, Vik, etc) that would make this a dynamic and interesting route. Lots of different terrain as well.

still a lot place to add, like Ireland, Malta, Cyprus, they are all EU members

@Awayuki - it is not about "EU members"... Euro in the title refers to trucks only, that they are set in a discrete depiction of European landmass is because it is a simulator after all, those trucks would have been set in a completely invented background and still be true to the title in my opinion.

To add, promods has shown Iceland can work. Might be even better and make more sense once they eventually get up to bringing us much requested rigid trucks.
