My documents ets2 folder is 61 GB, of which Promods (incl. middle east) uses 9.09 GB
(really need to clean up that folder :-)
edit, you also need extra space for updates.
Most of the others that I haven't bought, but are in there are country specific paint job dlc.
I doubt the 12gb minimum space as advertised is enough even if it's just the base game when SCS adds all those dlc for Convoy.
For a quick comparison, under the root folder I have :
- bin (12 files, 2 folders, 66.2 MB)
- EmptySteamDepot (0 files, 0 folders, 0 bytes)
- licenses (5 files, 0 folders, 9.23 KB)
- base.scs (8.66 GB)
- def.scs (12.1 MB)
- remaining 84 files, 6.91 GB
The Lunar New Year DLC are extra paintjobs related to the Chinese calendar. The Chinese Flags had some before but then SCS separated them in their own DLC.
8.6 GB mods folder in My Documents, which consists of Promods alone.
One thing I was worried, the mods should be put into My Documents, of which the drive partition is limited. I will have to figure it out.
@Rivaldman - yes, the -homedir launch parameter will redirect the home folder from Documents to where do you want it. First create it, for example D:\SCS Software then copy the whole ETS2 folder into it. Lastly, from your Steam Library right click on ETS2 and there there is a field for launch parameters (like -nointro, etc.). Fill it with -homedir "D:\SCS Software" and try to launch it. If successfully, as you quit ETS2, the game.log.txt file with newest timestamp is into D and the one into Documents can be safely deleted together with the whole folder (unless you want to keep a backup of it).
Without that there are 3 folders, same as yours, except the bin folder which is about 2 mb smaller in size.
Next to that there are 87 official SCS files plus a readme file which i've never read..
Kinda guessed the lunar dlc is about that, I don't bother with extracting dlc I don't own, then again i assume the info is on the store page as well :-)
I doubt Promods adds something to that folder.
This is the folder (the base folder is the 1,5mb map fiddling folder):

Guess i'll start doing that right now :-)
@Rivaldman - as you will start to use ProMods you will need to get used to change game's version between beta branches as ProMods will need some time to keep up with patches. Nothing difficult anyway, you will get used to it in no time ; )
