Peterbilt truck dealers in ETS2
Howdy from New Hampshire U.S.A. across thje pond home of the iconic Peterbilt and Kenworth (cousins of the DAF) and speaking of the Petes and KWs, which dealers sell them? 10s of thousands of hours of game play, trucks and garages were lost by a game crash. so I'm starting my ETS2 game over again.

To get a Peterbilt in ETS2 you got to find a mod for it, then look in the read me file for mod where you can buy it. american trucks isen't allowed in the most of Europe, because our roads is a lot smaller. In Europe you will ony see them as Show trucks.

All mods, no matter if a brand is give or not (for Peterbilt a reasonable option would be DAF, they are part of the same company) there is a "mod dealer" button where you can buy all mod trucks.

American semi trucks together with an european standard trailer exceed the permitted max length of tractor trailer vehicles on the road. thats the main reason no one really uses them. some people drive them with owned custom (shortened) trailers or with short dumpers with tandem axles on construction sites. that's possible but only an expensive hobby for enthusiasts. Promotional used semis (show trucks) also were driven with shortened trailers therefore.

Which does not matter for this game. What however matters is that locations like freight yards, mountain roads and intersections are not necessarily designed for these trucks too long. So while you don't get a penalty for vehicle length, you might struggle to get into loading docks (or crash to a totalled truck when using auto park, the truck ends up on an obstacle and is shot high into the air) or collide with oncoming traffic when cornering.

Thankfully that was just a scenery truck, not mine (can see my orange KW on the left).

That being said, the longer wheelbase of the US trucks does add an extra challenge. Once tried to use a KW900 to reverse a trailer onto a very narrow dock in a small town in the Faroe Islands. Was extremely difficult, but also quite rewarding when I managed it.

In terms of real life, I have just once or twice in my lifetime seen an American truck on a UK motorway. Don't think they were show trucks. Then again this is decades ago, so I also don't know if regulations were more lax back then...

And part of the problem. AI vehicles that cannot untangle an accident by driving backwards clear the road by sinking in. In this case there is no driveable road and the US truck spawned into the truck in front because it is plainly too long. So the only way to untangle was downwards.
