Yes and, in my personal opinion, yes.

Yes and yes but as a Pro Mods user that's my opinion.
Don't forget, if you are going to use mods make a new profile (I did) so you have a modded profile and a "vanilla" profile. Then you can still drive as you wait for mod updates after game updates.
Pro Mods can make achievements very difficult in some jobs. I think there are two that you cant do using PM map but offhand I cant remember them but there's a guide on PM site.
Alternatively, you can roll back to "*.**_incompatible_mods" to carry on with current profile.
Having said that, do you use mods already?

On a side note, you cant do WOT contracts on a Promods profile in Ets2.

Well I could actually. But there is always a risk of being unable to sync (meaning you can't complete). For some locations both shared by the game and promods, it could work. But some not.

The very downside is, you may come to realize that it won't sync until you complete the job or more than half way through.

and to add onto this one, if you pin the game to an older version, workshop mods (steam, more specifically) wont respect this and will update if/when the author uploads a new version. if that new version is problematic with the older game version, you can be stuck.

alot of the mods will have a link to download them manually and that will avoid the potential for an updated version being a problem. in the event they don't have a download link, do a google search on where steam workshop downloads are, and move them manually if you care to.

I know it can be done if the drop off location is in the same place on the map, but do you know all places where Promods hasn't changed anything? :-)

Just thought it would be fairer to say that it's not possible to prevent dissapointment :-)

Until I got the hang of how to sort out the manifest files (did this on my testing profile) I never had an issue with rolling back to previous versions at all.
Just rolled back to incompatible version whilst waiting for PM update. No issues with mods at all.
Shall just replace all my mods with the updated ones when it is released.
