File download after every integrity check

I ran the file integrity check and Steam downloaded 1.2 mb of files. I ran it again and it downloaded another 1.2 mb. Is this normal? Or are my files corrupted?

Clear your Steam download cache before applying file integrity verification again. Go to Steam Settings - Downloads. You probably need to re-login to Steam app after clearing cache, so make sure all login requirements handy.

I believe most games will detect just one or two files as broken in every integrity check. Far as I know they are online manifest files or something of the like, which change every time you start the game, so Steam will class them as 'broken' because they are constantly different. But there's nothing wrong with them and the game will still run fine even if they are detected. It's if you get three or more files which fail to validate - that's when you may have problems.

If it states 100+ files verified in the end then most likely there is no need to run it again. By the way, there is not a single file of that size, there are few that are smaller but hardly they broke over and over. Just play and if it doesn't crash then all is fine.

@Hermit - for ETS2 all installation files are not touched after download, settings in Documents are but those are managed by game itself. In other games it may happens, have some me too and the worst one is where save data is one of them ^^' Verify = start over : D

whenever I encounter non stop download issue, I delete some game files and make it restore everything during verifying.
