I'm sorry :(
Hey don't apologise bud, its easy to see every post on hear as a moan sometimes and some people are weary so their own comments may come across negative. As Woof said you should try living here.... everywhere else in the world is wrong wrong wrong lol. That said though i do spend most of my time driving around europe not the UK.... go figure lmao
I myself like to go to the UK every now and then, just because it's somewhat refreshing. Feels quite strange the first few times, but it's not that hard to get used to it.
and yes ATS and ETS2 are both great games. ETS2 is just quite a bit greater
The thing is, being from a LHD country doesn't matter. Motorcycles ride in different portions of the lane depending on many factors, including visibility. They are very fluid in driving in varying locations. Likewise, most drivers, at some point, have driven on the left edge of the road, either for parking, fast-food drive-thru, or even their driveway. It's not all that different from standard driving in the US.
and mostly every fast food drive-thru in the US that has been open over a year has dents and scrape marks all over them.
My biggest issue is that the route advisor is faaar wonkier here than anywhere else I've driven, and I don't use the red line while driving. So some intersections and highway exits can get rather interesting.
I live in the UK, so I'm used to cars driving on the left. But I don't drive myself, so have no experience of it on real roads.
However I do have my HQ in the UK, as the atmosphere of the place feels more familiar. And yet I use all my trucks in European cab configuration because I spend the majority of my time on the game driving in RHD countries.
And to top it off, I grew up on old driving computer games which were mostly set in the US, such as the Driver series and Midnight Club.
So for me, I don't have a side of the road that I particularly favour for driving games in general. Rather, I approach each game largely as a clean slate, and then get used to that game's requirements individually. This does mean that, because I spend most of my time on the right in ETS, I have gotten used to playing this game on that side, and so have occasionally been caught out when returning to the UK and having to make that switch. But this is quite rare that such a thing happens, and usually it only has to catch me out once before it clicks in my head and I have no issues remembering from that point on.
