A hard shoulder (befestigter Fahrbahnrand, translating to "reinforced roadside" literally) would be a shoulder of asphalt, cobblestones, etc. but too narrow to actually park a broken down vehicle on it. A soft shoulder (unbefestigter Fahrbahnrand / non-reinforced roadside) ends right after the outer marking in gravel, sand or soil. So we all can learn foreign languages while discussing game issues.
Minimum speed limit on the motorway in the UK is 50mph unless slow moving trafic in front forces u to go below 50mph or bad weather conditions or a speed limit sign says lower like at roadworks.. u can actualy get fines for going under 50mph on a motorway.
But that IRL not the game.
But each country has its own rules. and words for the lanes. im going on UK roads and what i was told for Germany when i was there in the 80s with the army. As back then Germany had basicly the same rules as the UK did.
there is no MINIMUM SPEED on a UK motorway

I remember seeing a traffic cops episode several years ago where they pulled over a guy for driving 30 on a motorway. They didn't fine him or prosecute, but they did ask him to speed up a little (to 'whatever speed you feel comfortable with', to which the guy said he would be willing to try 50 but would never go over 60). I think the main reason they were concerned was if the guy was drunk, but safety for other road users was a factor too.
after 50 years of driving i have Never seen a permanent Minimum of 50 on a Motorway
same in Germany when no limits a lot less accidents but more deaths due to the high speed. Its why germany has variable speed limts. when not a lot of traffic on the autobahns no speed limit for cars. but in bad weather and high traffic they put speed limits on. or they did when i was based in Germany with the army in the 80's. we could drive as fast as we wanted even in trucks.

For Urgent jobs, I simply don't take them if they involve crossing any border control points in the new DLC areas. Those delays coupled with the slower speeds on their smaller roads are just asking to be late on time-sensitive jobs. Going anywhere else? Not an issue and just drive like I normally drive. There just isn't any extra pad-time to take a detour to get unexplored road segments. ;)
It was before i got the Italia DLC and the pickup was in Italy base map and the road junction was blocked going south cause i didnt have the DLC to find my way round it that way. only took that job cause it was the last section of road to get pathfinder. fliping detore ruinded that lol.
expiry times r not how long u have to complete the job in the jom market but how long u have to pick up the cargo after u take the job. so if it says 1 hr it means u have 1 hr to get there before the job is gone so the job wont be there when u get there if u take longer than the expiry time. had it a couple of times where i didnt pick up the cargo fast enough and was wondering why i couldnt hook up the trailer. the job expired between the gate and hooking up so missed it by a few secs.
So take jobs with the longest expiry time and u get longer to deliver it.
So unless u drive in the UK and nowhere else ur beter off having everything set to KM rather than miles.
UK dashboards tend to have mph and kmh on the speedos Euro dashboards only have KMH. not sure of the exact numbers but its somewhere around 4 km per mile 3.7 or something like that. 50 KMH is 31 MPH. So using kmh it seems like ur going faster and further cause of the higher numbers.
Its confusing if u have never driven outside the UK. same if u have never driven in the UK. probably worse for non UK drivers coming over as their speedoes wont have MPH on them. UK dash will have big numbers in MPH and smaller numbers in KMH.
I have my homebase in the UK and my satnav set to display MPH because it's what I'm used to, but I use a left hand drive truck because I spend most of my time in other countries. But my cruise control still shows MPH, so when driving I can just line the CC up with what my satnav says and not have to worry about converting the speed units at all. If you have the CC increment up/down buttons set and a transmission with a retarder, you can even control your speed entirely on the CC system and barely have to accelerate/brake except in emergencies.
