no lights on ground problem

i started playing v 1.41/1.42 but why is the lights not working on my truck no mods full standard i can see the light turn on on the truck but it does not show on ground??

The nerfed lights long time ago . you will see them in the night , very weak
Lights in that game are crap

You have no idea what your talking about and your advice is less than helpful to a player experiencing game issues. The lights are weaker in the new updates but they do still shine on the ground.

If you see them too weak then you should maybe increase the brightness.

Then please explain to me why my headlights work perfectly fine on a vanilla profile (aka no mods ever in it).

check the graphic settings or gameplay settings, i believe i've seen it somewhere there

Have you tried verifying the game files in Steam?
Have you tried updating your graphic card driver?

Game brightness too low, reset graphic settings, test a different truck on fast jobs, try another file or create then see if it happens, ensure no accidental mods aren't on

Found the cure, not the cause. But i can guess. Installed ET2 again and ran it with a new profile. The start truck lights where functioning fine. Then replaced the Euro Truck Simulator 2 folder and the lights didn't function. I remembered that, during a ride, my lights stopped working after hitting the ceiling of a tunnel with my load. I went for a repair, but that did not help. Could i be that the config files of the truck are not updated well?
Then i went to a dealer and bought the same truck (biggest Volvo). The lights are working fine!

i had this problem too after an update, i just ignored it. but it is really annoying, i have to turn the view around while still just to check if my trucks have lights on, it gives me paranoia. its barely visible at night time, especially if you use view 2 positioned above the cargo or behind the truck

its not been an issue before, but after that update i have been caught and fined for no lights 3 times or more. i just dont realize its missing when i get used to it not being visible in the first place
