Iveco is the cheapest btw, good if ya want to save on cost for drivers that you hire for your company
VOLVO RULES IN EUROPE!!!!
speaking of engine sounds, this is the best one I heard, I love it so much, if I knew how to edit files in the game I would apply it to all the trucks instead of just the scania
its alot better in game btw, youtube hurts the sound quality of it

This site says the Scania Streamline is the fastest truck.
Instead I decided to the highest speed I could get with every truck brand in their most powerful truck.
The Volvo is quite fast but the Scania is even faster.

I actually made a new speed record of 185 km/h. You bet the speed camera had laid an ambush!
Happy
Scania pros: EPIC design, big, bad, bold, and stronger. I started ets2 with a Scania S 4x2, and now I currently drive a Scania Streamline 8x4 which I upgraded fully (V8 edition interior too) and I LOVE IT! Scanias, new or previous gen models, can look WAY cooler with upgrades, like the bull bars, added lamps, air horns, and epic paint job that costs 50000€! Expensive but worth it, trust me.
Scania cons: The newer Scania models seem somewhat heavier to drive compared to the previous generation models. I don't know it's just me, but it looks evident there is some Volkswagen involvement in the interior (afterall VW owns Scania), mainly in the Scania S line trucks, looks better quality tho.
Mercedes pros: Looks very elegant, one of the best to buy when fully upgraded! Love the sound of the engine, and horn! The brand does boast quality, which it genuinely does live up to. Beautiful without upgrades like lamps and bull bars. I had a Mercedes new actros 8x4, and it was gorgeous.
Mercedes cons: the badge does all the talking... otherwise the design is... perhaps conservative? Added upgrades like bull bars and lamps make the truck look cheaper. Mercedes is epic at demoralising you for playing budget, they expect you to fully spec your truck in order to enjoy the best experience.
MAN pros: solid design, looks heavy duty, goes from A to B without breaking a sweat. They have decent cheap models, suitable for beginners, and if you have a business in the game, you can buy it in fleet for your employees.
MAN cons: A bit conservative by design... and feels weighted compared to the Swedish rivals.
DAF pros: BEAUTIFUL interior! Looks luxurious. Exterior design is decent enough! The three wipers makes me think of a boat! It's a mix between budget (Renault and Iveco) and expensive (Mercedes, Scania and Volvo). Pretty much like MAN.
DAF cons: Not much choice of chassis or engine. I wish there was an 8x4. No cheap base versions whatsoever, making it a poor choice to buy for your employee truckers.
Volvo pros: most powerful trucks in the game (even for specs, models and trims), best safety tech (perhaps) and decent quality interior. Good cheap models to purchase for employees.
Volvo cons: design is on the conservative side, that too Volvo trucks are generic choices, making it feel rather boring. Perhaps overrated as well? That aspect can be debated.
Renault pros: cheap, decent to buy for your employees. Very agile performance and unique designs!
Renault cons: interior plastic... even Chinese toy cars have better looking plastic than that! The quality is standard, A to B, not meant to "wow" us all.
Iveco pros: Cheap, and epic styling.
Iveco cons: poor quality and performance.
The fact is they have a good selection of engines, are very manoeuvrable and have very good handling at all speeds.
The down side (for most) is they have almost no options for internal dressing.
In game almost all trucks behave and perform very similar with similar parts. There really is no "best" brand. It is just down to what truck you like to drive.
DAF interior and exterior looks beautiful. all DAF trucks are beautiful. just pick your truck by its design. because after all, most trucks will only differ like %1 speed difference. but ima be honest just don't pick iveco lol. maybe hi-way is viable but stralis's only pro is being cheap,and just get man if u want something cheap
Volvo and Scania = horsepower (heavy duty)
Scania = V8
Mercedes = nice looking
DAF = Perfection.
I have yet to drive a MAN but every truck is more or less decent.
That is virtually the only objective difference. Everything else is personal preference and subjective.
