Is there a 'free drive' mode?
Anyone know if there's a 'free drive' mode in ETS2? Some of the reviews I've read certainly suggest there is, but I can't find it. As soon as I start a new game it forces me to do a delivery job, when all I want to do is drive around and get familiar with handling the trucks. Is there a mod for 'free drive' that I need to install? Thanks for any help.

You will need to do quick jobs until you get enough money to buy your own truck - then you will be able to drive freely.

Take that first load that you get, un-hook the trailer and drive around.

That's probably the tutorial job. In my experience that's a job within the same city, so shouldn't take long to complete. After that first job, you're free to do what you want.

Might need a money cheat or a mod to boost XP/income in order to buy your first truck. Without, you'll probably need to complete a few jobs before having earned enough to buy your own truck.
There's also a no-damage mod that might make your life easier :)

There's settings to make the game more relaxing. I've turned off penalty fines for example.

Thanks a lot! Now the only thing is a "automatically stay on the road" mode in order to enjoy the scenery and take screenshots while driving...
