Why no Rostock-Helsinki Ferry-Connection?

I can sort of understand why, for example, there is no "Turku-Stockholm"-ferry-connection or even a harbour in neither of the cities since you would need to make through centre of both of the cities to get to those harbours
( if I recall correctly ).

But having no ferry connection between Rostock and Helsinki really baffles me.

As far as I am aware, there is no hard-coded-limit for the routes offered in the harbours.

Not having Rosstock-Helsinki-ferry-route offered simply doesn't make any sense.
Especially since it is one if not the most used Finland-German-ferry-routes / non-flying-connecting-routes
( or at least whenever I've travelled on those ferry-lines the ship has been packed to brim ).

For some real-life-reference, one might want to try inserting words
"Rostock Helsinki"
to various search engines and they would be offered with many ticket-office-websites for this ferry-connection-line alone.
