How to get better graphics?
I see people having better graphics then I do. More gloomy and classic while mine is bland and some what doll.. I have maxed all settings and now I feel like I'm missing something

Increase the scaling option. Add a weather mod, and bobs your uncle.

Reshade could be an option as well.

Depends on your defintion of better graphics, and if you can run on Ultra or not.

What Video card are you running?

Where are you "seeing" these people? And would there be a way to ask them?

I think it's because it's a old version of the game... but not really

That does not answer my question

Read the video description and/or put a comment there. They might just reply.

It is a matter of hardware in my book.
Some displays are very dull (mostly low cost), no matter what you do, it wont produce a crisp image. You may want to start to experiment with your monitors built in settings e.g. color temperature or?
Some video cards do exactly the same, they just don't want to produce a crisp image.
Ooops, just saw the u-tube thing.
There are many conversions, types and what not that can and will change the image appearance.
Your GTX970 should suffice, my second guess is your monitor, however, I don't understand the exact circumstance....! Where, when, how and so on?
Some people say it is broke, when asked what? Well, it doesn't work!

Rescale, i'm at 300% on a gtx 960 and it's pretty nice, i tried to reset at 100% and it looked blurry and so low res like an old 1024x768.

Try this mod for some better results
I'm using this with some other additional mod a friend gave me some time ago

It does make the game look nice for sure

I guess what you're actually talking about is SweetFX / reshade
That changes graphics a lot towards what you describe, but it's external and not a mod as such

While I'm talking about it I might try using it myself someday ^^

Overidng the game's AA with Nvidia inspector's will go a long way towards crisp graphics with minimal shimmer. It looks better than scaling without the performance hit. If you use Nvidiainspector, enter 0x004012C1 into the AA compatability bits slot. When you start ETS 2, leave your scaling at 100 and disable the games AA.
