What was up with those voice pitch options?
They were TERRIBLE. It honestly sounded like the voice options were AI voice, and changing the pitch broke those voices. Those voices also sounded really tinny. When I'm talking about the voices, I'm talking about the customization voices, not the other characters. You could just tell that something was definitely off with it. I'm really hoping that those customization voices are better in the final release, because as they were, they were awful, unless you didn't change the pitch.

I found a female voice that I liked, and for the palico, I found the one that sounds most World-like. But I agree, who is going to pick the annoying high-pitched ones?

Voice Pitch is almost always awful, it really takes a lot of tweaking after pitching to make it sound natural. But it just seems to be pitched with no touch ups after words so it sounds very unnatural.

Its worst with higher pitch voices, you can pitch things lower before they start sounding off but pitching things higher quickly becomes noticeable.

Oh not sure if this is clear but there is only 1 feminine and 1 masculine voice the actual pitch is done with a computer or more specifically nowadays probably AI. That's the reason it sounds tinny, there are a lot of artifacts being introduced in the audio and because its not being touched up in post it sounds bad.

I did not know that, that's awful. It didn't sound this bad is World or Rise, I'll tell you that much.

Well in World and Rise your character doesn't talk and the Palico only meows. In Wilds both talk so there is a lot more to touch up in post so they probably just didn't bother. In World they probably just did a bunch of post production touch ups and it wasn't that big a deal because it was just various grunts, shouts, and screams. Where now they have to touch up every bit of dialog in the game.

mmmmm true. I thought that there was dialogue from your character in Rise. That was the first MH game that let your character speak I believe.
It wasn't just me then. Felt like the sliders and options made barely no difference at all

There is dialogue from your character, your char says full lines during hunts and makes proper callouts for a lot of actions and moves. Even in the monhun language.

You are correct, your character in Rise DOES talk, I use Arin Hanson's VO for my character
Sad, i was really hoping they would fix it too but here we are. I HATE the way it sounds, its so robotic. It really takes me out of the experience when everyone's having dialogue, and suddenly you hear the most out of place voice start talking. It sticks out like a sore thumb. Really wished they would've changed it once the full game released.
i pitched my characters voice 2 or 3 upwards and its sounded pretty good for the last 20 hours or so.
although I did make my cat sound like a chipmunk so theres that lol
