i personally dont like heavy use fur and bones on gears in mh, i prefer metallic and leather gears. while situation is bearable when we think current armor selection, there s no such option for weapons.
my build currently using lala barina rarity 8 sword. and i swear i nearly cant see the blade because all the fur on it.
And you tell us this because?
either way, like ppl above said, don't use them lol. And like...with artian weapons, you literally cant tell what they can do lol, given how they're kitbashy weapons.
And maybe eventually there'll be a mod which will basically show the actual weapons behind layered weapons lol.
Element/Status type don't make a massive difference depending on certain weapon types either. Unless it's sleep, in which case it's pretty easy to tell sleep buildup is happening by the blue gas pouring from the monsters mouth.
A massive enough element+raw stat on some weapons like gunlance will be more beneficial than matching resistances to that monster in the first place too. It's why you see lots of G.Arkveld GL's being used.
Bro have you even looked at the palico armors?
Layered Weapons are fine and honestly need em early and not a year from now. I'm already using REFramework to replace the model clientside cause I want to use the appearance of Odo's DBs for instance.
