Nobody is mad at you, we're grilling you for violating an online game etiquette that has existed probably since before you were born.
Dropping unsolicited DPS meter addon results has always been considered rude. People were getting kicked from parties in the earliest days of World of Warcraft for doing it, and you're going to get kicked for it now too. Some games will actually ban you for doing it.
Take the hint, if nobody asks, keep it to yourself.
